Our Big Week

I don't know if you know this, but 2012 is an eventful year for us. So far, we've celebrated two milestones: our FIRST anniversary and Mark's 30th birthday!

"Wait, what? First anniversary?? But we thought you've been married for several years now!"

We have been married for four years, it's true. But it's our first anniversary, because our anniversary only comes around every four years--LEAP DAY! And this year, Disneyland decided to host "One More Disney Day" and stay open for 24 hours straight. It seemed like the perfect way to celebrate our unique anniversary, so off we went!


Then, the next day was Mark's 30th birthday! We went out for a drink that night, but didn't have anything else planned for that particular day (because we had planned to be recovering from our Disney all-nighter...that we didn't end up pulling). So on Friday we went out to lunch with the Bakersfield family at Famous Dave's BBQ. Yum-o!


After lunch, we had cake. Not just any cake, mind you; we had Boba Fett cake.


Then it was time for his bird presentation. If you don't know the story of the birds in this family, you'll have to ask someone else, because I just don't have the energy to go through it all right now. Anywho...he's a woodpecker. :^}


After the Bakersfield party came to end, we headed home and were welcomed by a house (half-) full of people, all there to surprise Mark! And there was another cake. What a lucky guy!


Finally, to top it all off, we went to San Jose to watch a Sharks game with Mark's parents and Logan. We had tons of fun, even though they didn't win.
